New Mexico State University Music Department will be celebrating it's 47th Annual Jazz Festival in the Spring of 2016. The festival is an educationally based event that invites hundreds of young jazz musicians on campus for two days of concerts and clinics. High School and Middle School Jazz Ensembles from throughout New Mexico and the Greater El Paso area particiipate in the festival. Each participating ensemble performs before a panel of Music Educators and is given a workshop immediately following the performance.
The festival concludes with the Festival Concert. The concert will be presented in the Atkinson Recital Hall in the NMSU Music Building on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
